Hi Mae, I was one of the group of five ladies who met you the Gallery this past Monday. We thought later, we should have let you practice at our cabin but, you probably wouldn't have been very focused...the wine was flowing. Thanks for signing our CD's. Perhaps we will see you in Maple Ridge as, I didn't see a listing for your White Rock concert. Cheers, Wendy
Hi Mae, I found a note in the bottom of my computer bag with you name and "music" hastily sribbled in my hand scratch. I'm glad I found it - and you. Thanks for the beautiful tunes. Looking forward to hearing more of Mae Moore! Cheers, Fred, Paso Robles, California
"Folklore" is further vocal and lyrical evidence that are in the same pantheon as Joni Mitchell. Your vocals are so dreamy and hypnotic. The only negative about my CD version of "Folklore" is that "Snowbird" is not on it. "Snowbird" is a wondrous" song too !
Hi Mae, It occurred to me, not long after meeting you, that you were 'The Mae'. My little girl and I joined you at your table for breakfast on the train on the way to Jasper. I just wanted to say that it was a pleasure to have met you and it's too bad that I hadn't had a chance to enjoy more of your music in the dome car...unfortunately Bella was feeling too uncomfortable in the company of all those adults :) Lucky everybody though! I guess because you have so many facets to you, the music part ended up not being the thing that jumped out the most or I might have clued in sooner! I was telling my mom about your orchard as she was slicing an apple last night :) Take care, I'm glad to have met you in person, and enjoy being back on Pender! Deb and Bella
I so love your new record Folklore, and what a bril title Ms. Moore. Tickets were impossible to get for the Belfry show, but I had an idea...maybe next time, it could turn into a five or even 7 night stand with guest artists friends. Kinda like Victoria's Albert HAll? Anyway..I am keen on dong the song writing workshop on Lasqueti in Septmeber..so have a marvelous Spring and Summer..see you in September, Sincerely, your long time fan...Carol
Thank you. For your thoughts and impressions expressed so beautifully in song and art. To finally see you perform in Halifax was a real joy. Smiling still has I listen to "Folklore" while painting in my studio. Wonderful voice, wonderful songwriter and just as genuine in person. All my best.
So enjoyed your show on March 11 in Toronto with the lovely Chris MacLean !Thank you for painting equally wonderful pictures with your music as you do with your brush. The Six String Nation Guitar and "Snowbird" was such a treat (goosebumps). Much appreciate the new album and artwork - great reminders of the fantastic country we are lucky to live in. Say hello to the rest of Canada for us ! <3
Really enjoyed your show in Port Stanley on March 12/11. It was a great show and it was fun to see so many high school friends there. You have not changeda bit since the days at CECI.
Was absolutely amazing meeting you on the train. Your album Bohemia came at a very big turn in my life and every song has an attachment to those memories. Glad to see you are as heartfelt and genuine in person as your songs also portray. Thanx for the music sessions. Hope VIA realizes what a gem they had.
What a joy it was to see/hear you and the band at St. James Hall. My pals thought the show was awesome....new fans! The standing ovation was well deserved. Continued Joy and Success. Rain is good.
Heard Tom Thomson's Mandolin on CBC's Fresh Air this morning....blown away by this song....so thought I'd check out more....here is my blog entry, http://reflectionsoutdoors.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/tom-thomsons-mandolin/ I hope to see your show in either Toronto or Kitchener....love your music.
A well written collection of songs and lovely instrumentation too. They're easy to listen to, in fact I've been listening to the album all afternoon while online! Welcome back Mae! I was referred here by WMVY (mvyradio.com) They know their music!
Smell salt water in your wonderful work....homesick for the islands in paradise. Folklore...fabulous. Catch you at the Dream....lucky me....

Merry XMAS to you and Lester, Mae! And, as always, all the very best. Rash
Hi Mae, back in 1992, I was so in love with you and your voice, and consider Bohemia, as good a record as i've ever heard in then. The songs 'Bohemia' and 'Because of Love' were so atmospheric and lush a sound that I ever heard during my 'alt' in college radio. Congrats to all your success and I hope to see you in concert in Toronto in March So glad your beautiful voice is still around! thanks Angelo
When are you coming to Calgary?! It needs you! (Love you!)
Hi Mae - definitely put me into your drawing. We miss you in the States. We met when you were touring coffee houses in Michigan back in 1994 (?) you were so gracious. Glad you are doing well.
You are a treasure! I'm not sure why you aren't a worldwide household name yet!? It certainly isn't for a lack of talent. Perhaps I'm just sheltered. Please continue to create and perform your wonderful music.
Mae, Loved your music for many years & have often wondered where the red clay hills are.....Lake Erie? Hope you make it to Ottawa in the spring.
I stumbled across a couple of your CD's in a thrift store. I (sorry to say) had never heard of you before, but something about the covers made me buy them. I was not disappointed! I was moved and upbeat from listening to you on the way home....you have a new fan! Can't wait to hear more from you....best wishes from Tampa, Florida.

I have been listening to your music for years. Thank you for your talents and gifts. Joanne
Can't wait to hear the new music, Mae!
I find your musical motion to be reflected in a natural emotion... several of the arts stand above you and attempt to lead your senses; your work seems to invite you to understand, identify and take meaning along from the presentation... thank you, for the sense of a desirable improvement to indie, yet enough identity to not grandure yourself beond your reception of intrest!!!
Hi Mae! Yes, please enter me in the draw! Thanks so much. I look forward to listening to the new music! Cheers from Anacortes, WA

Truly edifying to learn about your imminent new CD. "It's A Funny World", "Mae Moore", "Collected Works", "Dragonfly" and "Bohemia" are wondrously eclectic and paramount CDs. I can enjoy listening to you, kd lang and Chrissie Hynde all day long. God bless you and all creatures great and small.
Mae, thank you for bringing your beautiful voice to this world, I only wish that I had such talent! I was introduced to your music via cable music back in 2000 while I lived in Boca Raton, FL. Yours is THEE most played cd in my car! Who Knows and Bohemia.... you are so special to me Mae, to my surprise, you are into organic farming! I have been a vegetarian since 1985, animal rights has always been my motivation. I would love an opportunity to see you in concert at some point. My grandmother was from Canada; I grew up in Detroit. Enough of me :) again, thanks for your insirational music! Because of you, I am teaching myself guitar at 49! Cheers! Kathleen Drake
Into young adulthood, more than a few Southeastern Pennsylvania moons ago, my beloved maternal grandmother had somewhat of a best friend named, what else but Mae Moore! Circa 1992 www.xpn.org - 88.5 WXPN began to spin, "Bohemia" - the CS Tape still exists here in our collection. A valued fave, natch. Have some catching-up to do but A) looking forward to your 2011 project, B) What - Mae Moore's not on Facebook - no links? And C) Play Philly again sometime soon! Good day, eh. TTFN. - PM
Hey There, Just listening to your ablum Dragonfly and thought we would look you up and see what was going on with you. :) I am American and my husband is Canadian and I did not know who you were and my husband told me that I would like your music. Well he is right. :) Glad to hear that you are still active in music and can't wait to find more of your tunes. Best of Luck and Take Care M & O
Hi Mae, I have just been loading some CD music onto my ipod and came across Dragonfly. In 1995/1996 I was on a working holiday in Canada from Australia and saw you perform at the Banff Centre. What a great discovery that was! Good to see you're still going strong!
Mae...please please!!? more of your singing and your guitar playing on this new record....Im looking forward to hear your new songs... Always your musical fan!!.
Pretty sure it was 1996 but could have been 1995 ... I was living in Ballard at the time. Many fond memories connected with Dragonfly, Bohemia, Watermark ... so name just a few ... Thank you, again :-)
In 1966, I thoroughly enjoyed a live perfomance in Ballard, Washington (USA) ... immediately, become an ardent fan of yours ... your songs & voice are magical ... Thank you !! Love'n'Light Note from Mae: Umm...thank you so much for your kind words, Kay. Could that have been 1996? ;-)Peace and love to you!
Thank you for responding so quickly!! :) Well I must say I am sad to hear I was wrong about what I thought I heard....however I am glad to hear I will be able to see you this summer! I would have loved to come to the concert in Courtney however I don't think I can make that one. I invited my daughter to join me to attend your Penticton show. Her and I are going to make a weekend of it and go to some wineries, if you want to join us we would love to have you! Take care, have a lovely evening, Yvonne
I thought I heard an announcement on the CBC yesterday regarding an upcoming concert in Vancouver featuring Mae Moore,,perhaps it was wishful hearing because when I got home and googled it I could not find any such news!!.. Are you planning on playing in Vancouver during the Olympics and if not? are you planning on performing any time soon....I NEED a Mae Moore fix!! its just been way tooooooo long xo
I was introduced to your music back in 1994 and listened religiously, but time passed and so did you...but then I rediscovered you when I heard a song that sounded like yours and it sent me on a quest...'where did I hear a song like that before?'. Your name just popped into my head like that...you're music is missed but not forgotten. I loved it then and I love it now. Thanks for wonderful memories and thought provoking lyrics.... Distant Admirer
Happy 2010 to the wondrously talented Mae Moore. I thank you for your cruelty-free lifestyle and compassion for the planet and our fellow creatures. Hopefully, a Mae Moore solo CD will come to fruition in the imminent future. Greetings to Lester and your pets too !
Digging through an old box of cassettes, I came across "Keep on Walking." After playing it and loving it all over again, I went to Lester's website to see what was new (well, you, since last I checked!). Then I remembered I used to have a couple of your CDs. They were stolen years ago - at least the thief had good taste! So now I am getting re-aquainted with your music again and am happy as a clam. Your music is bringing back a lot of good memories. Glad to hear you are living a good life. Thank you for all that you do.
I grew up listening to Mae, she was there during teh rainy days the painting days, the painful growing into loving myself, and now I found her songs again. Mae such healing ~ "Coat of Shame". Big huge universe love hugs to you!
Hey; the song "red Clay hills" speaks to my soul & calms me down when I'm stressed out ! Thank's for this song . Dave
I was introduced to your music at the cottage this summer. "Its a Funny World" was played over & over while we enjoyed great wine & food lots of fun !!!!!! great memories to last a lifetime
I am truly one of your biggest fans! I had the pleasure of meeting you a few years ago, actually probably many years now....at the Queens Hotel in Nanaimo. You were so sweet, you told me I looked like Shania Twain! Anyhow, I just wanted to share with you that 95% of my paintings are painted to your music. I almost feel like I owe you a share of my sales, thanks for the inspiration and your sharing your beautiful gift with me!
Just found my old copy of Bohemia- it had been lost for years and I have pined for it! Now my happy life is beautiful again!
It was around '94 or '95 when I lived in the Bay Area and KFOG use to play Bohemia. Had the cd ever since. Glad to see and hear you're still around.
I love your voice and music. "Thank You" Nance

YOUR MUSIC; LYRICS; VOICE AND SOUL COMBINED ARE PERFERCT TO ME. WAITING FOR NEW ALBUM WITH LESTER! AND A NEW YORK CITY OR NEW JERSEY LIVE PERFORMANCE. THANK YOU
I love and frequently play the refined and wondrous "It's A Funny World", and I know it would musically be a better world if Mae recorded a new CD. On this we can all agree !
Hi Mae, Been a fan a long time. Listened to "Bohemia" album on my latest road trip. Every single song is great. That's very rare indeed! Thanks. Love, k

I got know you from the OST- The Hanging Garden, many yeas ago. Your voice accompany for years through many difficult time. Just want to say thank you.
Great music. I only just discovered it on Bravo, a piece they did back a few years ago that ran again recently. Lester plays a mean harmonica too !
I've loved your music since the late '90's...seems you and Lester's music is the stuff I go to more than anything else...At the age of 49 I've decided to learn to play the guitar...anywhere I can get some guitat tabs for your music?
Hi from Lancaster PA, Mae, I just love the song Bohemia. I found it on some kind of folk music compilation and have to admit I had never heard of you. Anyone who knows me now knows you too. Your music is great!!! Thanks for adding to my musical library!!
Hi Mae, Just stopped in to see how you are doing these days... Love your garden pic ... mmm looks like a great life!
I think your birthday is rolling up isn't it? So Happy Birthday.
i have never seen you in concert! (ashamed to say!) please make a stop in sudbury, ontario! love yu very much!oxoxoxo you're such a beautiful writer!
Mae Moore, Chrissie Hynde, K.D. Lang, Judith Durham, Annie Haslam and Joan Jett are all supreme vocalists. They're also humane vegetarians who respect all life. It must be their good karma.
Artist in her own league. Touching lyrics, beautiful melodies and genuine emotion. I only wish she would tour the U.S. more. Best of luck for continued success and I wish for you mountains of blessings.
Hello Mae, Thanks for the opportunity to add a warm thank you for your songs. There is no other artist that can make me so connected from the first note or bring back such vivid, happy memories in my life as your songs. Because of Love, Arrow and Western Front still transport me to Vancouver where I was happiest and most at peace with myself and still change into new meanings as I get older. I just looked you up today as I listened again and wanted to say thanks for writing for such beautiful and sometimes healing songs for me (I realize this may not, in fact, be accurate, but I assume you must have =)...) All the best life has to offer, and thanks, Chad
Just heard your gorgeous rendition of Red Clay Hills on Magic99 here in Edmonton. Now want to hear more .. keep up the excellent work Mae.
Hi Mae- Not sure if you would remember me-I was the manager of the Yale Hotel in Vancouver from 1994-2006; we met when you played a Folk Festival showcase at the Yale. I have sinced moved on and now live in Washington. I have always been a big fan-just dropping by your site to see what's new with you- Hope life is treating you well. Keith Guthrie
hi...just rediscovered you. got out my tapes (eek) and listened to bohemia...it was so sweet to find and to listen to again. one of the best songs ever...
I watched your show 'In Their Own Backyard' today. Really enjoyed both you and your husband! We live on Texada Island - any chance you'd want to come and play here? We are the largest Gulf Island with the smallest population - but I'm sure you'd get a decent turnout, as well as a chance to visit another beautiful part of BC! I was also in Ontario as a young teen, moved back to BC in '72. I also went through hell back there, and felt that music and art got me through some tough times, not that I did anything particularly 'brilliant'. However, I felt I could relate when listening to your story. My husband and I went to NS & PEI for the 1st time a few months back - loved it. Glad you found your daughter in Halifax!
I am in love with our style and music, I know sounds silly? I am at a stage in my life where I feel lost & going through a "spritiual growth" .One day I woke up with a song of yours stuck in my head(A good thing) Your music inspires me so much, helps me heal & grow. Days I listen to you helps me express what I cannot. I had grown up with your music on lite 96 Calgary in Jr. High & High school hearing you on the radio, where I still live. Recently I Just turned 30 & feel lost in life/love. In November I went on a sailing trip from Canoe Cove to Ganges/Salt Spring. The whole sailing trip, I listened to "Because of Love" & "Bohemia" over and over, like a million times! I could swear it was like you wrote these songs for me and how I was feeling at this time in my life. I have now bought all of your CD's to help me through my spiritual growth....Amazing to be toucheed in my heart by your talent! THANK YOU so much! Warm & Kind Regards, Monika Calgary, AB
Mae - I just want to say, as an American (with Canadian roots), I absolutely love your music! I’ve been hooked ever since Bohemia. Also, I was glad to hear that you connected with your daughter. I had read somewhere a while back that you had attempted to do so, but then it never really said whether you were successful or not. I’m really very happy for you both!
I first picked up "Dragonfly" at a friend's music store in my hometown about 10 years ago. Did you know how hard it is for someone in New Mexico to find all your CD's? :-) I've got them all and they will always remain on my list of all-time favorites!!! Thank you for some of the most beautiful music ever.
I first ran across your composition "Bohemia" on a folk compilation album . It had a different title on the album... I had been trying to remember the title & artist for years. Woke up this morning and suddenly remembered you & the song! Kudos... It's been stuck in my mind for at least 10 years... That's a lasting effect!!!

Red Clay hills ..... Im listening..what a beautiful song !!!! you are so bloody talented!!!!!!
Hello Mae. Beautiful website! And your music is, well, *wonderful* - as usual!! Thank you for all the great tunes through the years. Canadian Culture and artists will prevail!
Love your unique beat and accoustic sound. Saw you once years ago - would love to see you again. Please come to Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario soon!!!
If you combine vintage Joni Mitchell, dreamy Jane Siberry and tender K.D. Lang you can gauge the wondrous music and vocals of Mae Moore. Her love of nature, organic farming and protecting the earth makes her even more alluring as an artist. She's a modest and mellow virtuoso who assuages the ears and resonates into the psyche with celestial and benign fervor.
Deares friend! You are such an inspiring artist! your music is very much grreatly appreciated with all my heart! touches me in ways no one else could! Your music makes my soul fly!!! a WONDERFUL thing it is! where would i be without it???thanks for all your hard work for us fans! oxoxox love ya! tracey oxoxox:):)
saw you two wonnerful folks at Summerfolk a few years ago...bought your "Oh My!" CD. Play it with some regularity and had a song or two on our wedding music CD...LOVE your stuff. Saw the TV special on Bravo too. I hope you two tour out this way again. We have a beautiful concert series in town that might be suitable. http://knoxowensound.ca/acousticcafe/ Your garden photos are great! Peace! Jim
Put Oceanview Motel on the CD player for the first time in 15 years today, thought I lost the CD - I smiled the whole way through - your music really is the power of love and not the love of power. Peace. Love. Happiness. Gary in Saskatoon
I love all of Mae Moore's CDs. She's an ethereal vocalist, poignant lyricist and a stellar guitar player. I want to thank her for being an animal loving vegetarian. The inhumane beef, pork, poultry and fishing industries are responsible for massive cruelty, pollution, global warming and environmental crises.
I just came across "Bohemia" on Last.fm, but they don't have a bio for you. The music's lovely, and your paintings make me homesick. Best wishes.
Hi Mae, I just wanted to tell you how FANTASTIC "Bohemia" is! Every single song is great. It's rare to hear an album where I find every song so good. I love Dragonfly also. If you are ever performing in the Reno area, I'll be there front and center. Best wishes! k
Hi Mae, We so enjoyed listening to your songs on this website. We have almost all of your CDs at our home here in Toronto, and they have brought us many hours of pleasure. We also enjoyed seeing the picture of you (on Pender Island I assume) It made me homesick for the West Coast. Any chance of a gig at Hugh's Room here in Toronto? We'd love to see you perform live again. Best wishes, Virginia Bawlf Graham Jones
I watched your program this morning on Bravo (June 18/08)which prompted me to look up your website. I really enjoyed hearing your story about you and your daughter. The whole program was excellent and enjoyed the music you played along with your husband, just brilliant. We saw you in 1993 when we first moved to Victoria in a coffee shop on Johnson St. Best regards Elaine & Ray Abbott Saanichton, BC
Very moved by your latest CD. I remembered you from when I was a little younger and was intrigued when I saw it. Just fantastic, your voice, the lyrics, the musicianship. You have the gift of music. Thank you so much, it's in my top 10 favorite CD's EVER. Toronto is only as far as a thought..... All the best to you.
Still love your sound.....I'll never tire of it.
Your music is beautiful....I hope to see you someday here on that "jewel of an Island in the Atlantic."
I have been enjoying your music for years. You are a very gifted person.
you're so cool, i have and love bohemia so much, getting around to buying new cds, i'm gonna get a few more of your albums, take care.
Your talent is endless...what a gift you are for all Canadians!

What a great surprise to see your new site- your artwork is beautiful!
Would love to see you come back to Toronto to perform.
Do you have your song "Deep Water?" I loved listening to it as a kid, but I can't find it anywhere on the internet! Thank you!^-^
